Somatic Rest is a deeply restorative class that invites you into stillness, softness, and surrender. Where other practices may mobilise or activate, Rest is about anchoring — creating a safe container where your body can finally let go of its guard and drop into replenishment. This isn’t passive lying down, but a nervous-system informed practice of down-regulation, release, and integration. How it meets your body: Somatic Rest is our most down-regulating practice. It guides you into parasympathetic anchoring, helping your body and mind return to a state of safety, calm, and deep repair. Science-backed benefits: Long-held, supported postures activate the body’s parasympathetic nervous system, lowering heart rate and blood pressure while increasing vagal tone — the foundation of resilience. Rest stimulates the body’s “rest and digest” functions, improving digestion, immunity, and sleep quality. It also calms the amygdala (the brain’s fear centre), reducing anxiety and creating a sense of profound safety. What to expect: In Somatic Rest, you’ll be guided into supported restorative shapes using props, soft breath practices, gentle sound, and spacious cues that allow the body to release layer by layer. The pace is intentionally slow and cocoon-like, creating an environment where overstimulation can dissolve and the nervous system can find deep anchoring. This practice gives permission to stop “doing” and instead receive — allowing the body to integrate, repair, and replenish at the deepest level. You’ll leave feeling restored, grounded, and nourished — as if your whole system has exhaled. Perfect for you if: You feel exhausted, overstimulated, or wired but tired. Cancellation Policy
Cancellation, Reschedule & No-Show Policy You can cancel or reschedule your booking up to 1 hour before class starts. Anything less than 1 hour and you forfeit your class session. Classes are non-refundable but can be rescheduled up to 1 hour before the start time. If you do not attend and do not cancel at least 1 hour before class, a $10 no-show fee will apply.
