Somatic Strength is a grounding, stabilising practice designed to build resilience in both body and nervous system. Unlike traditional strength classes, this isn’t about pushing to the limit, it’s about cultivating steadiness, containment, and safety through effort. By focusing on spinal strength, pelvic floor support, and deep core integrity, the central axis of your nervous system, this class strengthens your foundation from the inside out. The spine and pelvic floor work together as both anchor and container, supporting nervous system regulation, postural stability, and whole-body resilience. Strength embodies grounded movement. It moves your system in a slow, intentional way that builds containment through the pelvis and core, creating steadiness, safety, and internal support. Rather than bracing or gripping, you’ll learn to organise strength from the centre, allowing effort to feel held rather than effortful. Strength-based somatic practices improve proprioception (your body’s map of itself in space) and interoception (your awareness of internal signals). This stabilises the stress response by increasing predictability, containment, and internal trust. A focus on the spine and pelvic floor enhances nervous system efficiency, supports postural integrity, and creates a stable base for movement and emotion. Slow, resistance-based work improves muscular and bone density while teaching the nervous system that effort can be supportive rather than activating, reducing compensatory tension, anxiety, and collapse. What to expect In Somatic Strength, you’ll move through slow, resistance-based sequences using ankle and wrist weights, woven with grounding breath, pelvic floor awareness, and intentional pauses. Special attention is given to spinal organisation and pelvic support, creating stability at the very centre of your system. Each practice is carefully paced so effort feels safe rather than overwhelming, helping your body experience strength as regulating and nourishing. Cancellation Policy
Cancellation, Reschedule & No-Show Policy You can cancel or reschedule your booking up to 1 hour before class starts. Anything less than 1 hour and you forfeit your class session. Classes are non-refundable but can be rescheduled up to 1 hour before the start time. If you do not attend and do not cancel at least 1 hour before class, a $10 no-show fee will apply.
